The poster is a replica of the iconic black and white photograph Lunch atop a Skyscraper. The photograph was reportedly taken on September 20, 1932 by Charles Clyde Ebbets during the construction of the 30 Rockefeller Plaza skyscraper in Manhattan, New York. The photograph shows eleven construction workers at lunchtime, sitting on a beam with their feet dangling 260 feet above the streets of New York City. According to the archivist, the snapshot was staged by the Rockefeller Center as a promotion for its new skyscraper, and there is no actual chasm below the workers, but a completed previous floor.
